17 selections!


I’m trialling a new formula for my weekend football mug accas. I’m sure that I often get influenced or put off by the price of a team value hunting rather than straight selections. How many can I pick and get a return? I went down the list on the BBC sport page for English Saturday games only and came up with 17 selections.

It’s only early season so not much form to go on and only a small investment so I’m thinking four groups of 4/5 teams in a lucky 15. I’ve done that before and put all the small bankers together with more on the short price teams. This time I might make it more random as I know there will probably be one from each group that goes tits up! Hopefully I’ll get lucky and put all the losers in the same group. I reckon if I was to get 16/17 and only picked a treble to back I would include the loser! Anyhow, we’ll see how it goes (and I’ve avoided Coventry at home to the sheep shaggers but I do think Cov will win):
