Knackered! (But at least I had a result!)


I played that £50 f/out at the Ricoh (mentioned on last update) and finished 2/107 for £1k. I really needed that if only to get through the next month a little more comfortably. Great tournament 10k starting stack and 25 minute blinds throughout. I didn’t even play that well although I did lose two major pots at crucial times, so I was pleased to run well enough to get there. With £3,500 left in the pot for the top three and two of us having chucked away big chip leads to be all fairly even, we took £1k each and played for the 500. Heads up I was 3/1 chips down and never recovered, but not grumbling.

The only problem was that we didn’t finish until 5.15 am and I still had to drive home and be back here at work 20 minutes ago at 9am – I’m totally fucked and throwing coffee down my neck.

I would have feigned injury for a day off unpaid and still may go early, but gonna see if I can make it through to lunch and get my head down for another hour a sI have my car booked in for MoT at the garage directly next door to work. I thought it would be convenient but now looks like a schoolboy error.
